Venus in the second decan of Virgo follows the Golden Dawn attribution; Book T titles the card Material Gain. Waite's published meanings, checked against the Pictorial Key, give prudence, safety, success, accomplishment, certitude and careful judgement, and his description of the scene includes the bird upon the wrist. UTT reads constructed self-sufficiency and treats the hooded bird as the card's disciplinary content, which follows the imagery rather than departing from it.
