Your information and your choices

Privacy policy

Effective November 4, 2026

Ultimate Tarot Trainer (UTT) is operated by Red Tape Business Services, LLC, 2023 South Broadway, Suite B #476, Santa Maria, CA 93454, USA. This policy explains information handled through UTT and how to contact us about it.

Information used to provide UTT

  • Accounts: your username, email address, sign-in credentials, account preferences, and communications you send us.
  • Readings and learning: questions and other text you submit, selected cards and reading settings, interpretations, saved readings, journal entries, lesson progress and completion choices.
  • Membership and payments: subscription status, payment and refund references, billing periods, receipt links, eligibility confirmations, and records needed to verify access and reading limits. Stripe collects payment details directly through its payment services.
  • Technical operation: authentication and guest-session identifiers, cookies or browser storage used by the Reader and practice tools, and operational or security logs. Our hosting and delivery services can receive IP addresses, browser information, request details, timestamps, and error information.

How we use information

We use this information to run accounts, deliver readings and lessons, save your work, verify membership, process service requests, prevent misuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support. Optional course-email and physical-deck updates are choices in your account. Necessary account, security and billing messages are separate from those preferences.

AI readings and service providers

Free library-based readings use the UTT card library. Student AI interpretations send your question and the reading context, including cards and settings, to OpenAI. This may happen even if a provider error results in a fallback reading. Avoid sensitive personal information, information about children, and another person’s confidential information in reading questions or journals.

We use service providers for hosting and security (HostGator/Newfold), payment processing (Stripe), AI responses (OpenAI), and account/service email delivery. They receive information needed for their functions and may also handle technical or transaction data under their own policies and agreements. See Newfold privacy information, Stripe privacy information, and OpenAI API data controls. We do not promise zero retention by a provider.

Information may also be disclosed when necessary to meet legal obligations, investigate abuse, protect users or the service, or transfer operation of the business, subject to applicable requirements.

Cookies, browser storage, and aggregate usage counts

Functional cookies and browser storage support signing in, guest readings, reading settings, and practice tools. Clearing or blocking them can remove browser-held work or prevent a feature from working.

UTT uses first-party daily totals to understand visits to its main pages, reading starts, cards revealed, and account creation. The aggregate counter stores an event name, date and count. It does not store your question, journal, email, account ID, IP address, a persistent analytics identifier, or a record linking your steps together. These totals are event counts, not unique-person profiles. Our hosting service still receives ordinary request information in its operational logs.

California Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Optional browser usage counts are skipped when the browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. These signals do not disable necessary account, security, billing, or service operations. UTT does not add advertising pixels or cross-site analytics scripts to these pages. Service-provider pages and resources, such as Stripe payment pages, may collect information as described in their own notices.

Saving, sharing and retention

Guest readings are tied to their browser and expire after 30 days. A free account keeps its five most recent readings for up to 30 days each; older readings are removed. Other reading, journal and learning retention depends on the account and service controls. Account records are used while providing your account; billing, consent, support and security records may be retained where needed for transactions, disputes, legal obligations or service protection. Backups and provider records can follow separate retention cycles. Aggregate usage totals are scheduled for removal after one year.

If you create a sharing or verification link, anyone with that link may be able to view the information included in it. Check the sharing controls and what the link exposes before sharing. Revoke a link when you no longer want to use it.

Your choices and requests

Use Account to review saved work and available data-export, account-deletion and preference controls. You can also request access, correction or deletion, ask about retention, or raise another privacy concern by emailing support@ultimatetarottrainer.com with “UTT privacy” in the subject, or writing to the address above. We may need to verify that a request concerns your account. We handle requests under applicable law and explain any information we must retain. Manage a paid subscription through its cancellation controls; a privacy request should not be relied on as a cancellation instruction.

Children, security and updates

Student is limited to US residents aged 18 or older. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. We use account access controls and HTTPS, but no online service can promise perfect security. Keep your password private and avoid submitting sensitive information.

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice when required. You can find the current policy through the Privacy link in the footer.
